The Prodrift Academy training program is built around maximum track time, clear progression, and professional level coaching, giving students the tools to develop genuine drifting skills in a controlled and safe environment.

The Evolution of Drifting
Over the past decade, professional drifting has evolved dramatically. What began as a low grip motorsport has become a high speed, high grip discipline, with modern competition cars producing over 1,000 horsepower on semi slick tyres.
The Prodrift Academy training program mirrors the evolution of modern drifting competitions. Students progress from foundational techniques to high grip, professional drift setups, reflecting the demands of professional drifting.
The Prodrift Academy Training Philosophy
Every driver is different. Each student’s experience and goals are assessed upon arrival, allowing instructors to tailor the training path. Whether a complete beginner or competitive driver, the program adapts to the individual.
How the Training Program Works
The Prodrift Academy training system is divided into 10 levels across 4 categories:
- Rookie
- Amateur
- Semi-Pro
- Professional
Each level focuses on specific drifting skills used by professional drivers. Levels typically last around one hour, with students able to complete multiple levels per day depending on ability and pace.
Level Up System
Progression is structured, measurable, and clearly defined from Level 1 to Level 10. Just like a video game, Prodrift Academy students level up step by step, with each level having a clear objective that must be achieved before progressing.
Students complete levels, earn certificates, unlock Prodrift Academy merchandise, and advance toward the ultimate challenge — drifting the Tipperary Raceway professional drift track, the birthplace of Irish drifting.
The 5 Key Principles of the Prodrift Academy Training Program
- Line – The most important criteria in professional drifting. The correct drift line defines the car’s position through a corner. Deviating results in heavy deductions.
- Speed – Forward traction and speed are critical. Drivers maintaining speed throughout a course are harder to chase and are rewarded.
- Angle – Drivers are scored on the consistency of their drift angle through the course, not just peak angle.
- Style – A subjective criteria based on aggression, fluidity, commitment, and entertainment value.
- Time – Not used in competition, but we time students to measure forward traction and track progress during training.
Training Categories & Level Breakdown
Rookie – Training Cars
- Level 1: Drift Fundamentals — confidently drifting a full corner
- Level 2: Transitions — mastering weight transfer and directional changes
- Level 3: Drift angle & line — understanding clipping points, accuracy, and line control
Amateur – Training Cars
- Level 4: Acceleration & extension — applying full throttle and extending drifts
- Level 5: Precision & deceleration — controlled entries, exits, and line discipline
- Level 6: Timing — maintaining forward traction and consistent lap times
Semi-Pro – Pro Cars
- Level 7: Technique adaptation — adjusting driving style to higher rear grip
- Level 8: High-speed transitions & wall runs — committing at speed with precision
- Level 9: Drift event simulation — competition format, car setup, and spotter awareness
Professional – Pro Cars
- Level 10: Championship track — full competition-style assessment, event simulation, and Prodrift Academy graduation

Standard Training Levels
€249 per level
Prodrift Academy drift training levels are designed to develop driver skill, control, and confidence within a structured, professional training environment. Each level builds on the last, allowing drivers to progress at their own pace under expert instruction.
Training is tailored to individual ability, with students starting at an appropriate level following assessment where applicable.

- 60 minutes of driving time, plus briefings and instructor feedback

Full Academy Training Program — Levels 1–10
Complete Prodrift Academy Training Pathway
This program is designed for drivers who are serious about progressing through the full Prodrift Academy system in a structured, high-intensity format. It provides a complete development pathway from first-time drift driver to advanced, competition-ready level.
Across two intensive training days, drivers are taken through every stage of the academy curriculum, with a strong focus on consistency, car control, progression, and professional driving standards. Each level builds technical ability, confidence, and decision-making under pressure, preparing drivers for real-world drifting environments.
